A Little About Me.

I am lucky to live in the Cotswolds with its wealth of photographic opportunities and easy access to the rest of the country.

My photography started in the early 1980s with a basic 110 compact camera. I rapidly became disillusioned with the quality achieved. This inspired me to buy an SLR camera, and try different photographic techniques, including printing my own monochrome images, colour slides, and more recently discovering the creativity of digital camera techniques.

Most of my work is taken outdoors, in monochrome or colour, and varies from detail to landscape. I try to capture patterns in nature, the “unusual”, and am inspired by unconventional views of the world, as well as the “classic shot”.

I very rarely “set up” images in my studio, preferring to take things as I find them (“Objet Trouve”). Even the stones piled on top of one another were “as found”, perhaps the work of another ‘artist’?

I am a member of several photographic groups and have exhibited with others in Stroud Museum, Cotswold Monochrome, Kingshill House, Ruskin Mill, and Nature in Art.
